💡 What is a Mystery Thrifty box?

A Mystery Thrifty box is a curated bundle of second-hand or vintage items selected just for you (or your gift recipient). Choose from women’s clothing, kids’ bundles, or unique mystery gifts — each one tailored to your preferences.

 

🎁 What’s the difference between a curated and a mystery box?

  • Curated Box: Includes items selected based on your style, preferences, and inspirations. A personal questionnaire helps guide the selection.
  • Mystery Box: A surprise mix of fabulous finds, selected without input from you — perfect for those who love a true mystery!

 

📸 What information do I need to provide for a curated box?

After purchasing a curated box, you’ll receive a short questionnaire. You can also include:

  • Pinterest inspiration boards
  • Photos of favourite outfits or styles
  • Colour preferences or dislikes
  • Special occasions or seasonal needs

 

⏳ How long does it take to receive my order?

Please allow up to 21 days for your order to be curated and packed. Each item is thoughtfully sourced, which takes time. Shipping or hand delivery is arranged once your bundle is ready.

 

📍 Do you deliver outside of Melbourne?

Shipping is currently only available within Australia.

If you live within 10km of Rowville (3178 VIC), you may be eligible for free hand delivery.

 

🚫 Do you accept returns or offer refunds?

Because every box is a surprise and many items are one-off vintage finds, we do not offer refunds or exchanges for change of mind or unmet expectations. Part of the charm of a mystery box is the surprise!

 

📬 How will I know when my order is shipped?

You’ll receive an Australia Post tracking number once your order is dispatched. For local hand deliveries, you’ll be contacted to arrange a suitable drop-off time.

Absolutely! If you’re unsure about anything, just head to the Contact section and send me a message. I’ll get back to you as soon as possible.

By purchasing from Mystery Thrifty, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully before placing your order.

1️⃣ About Mystery Thrifty

Mystery Thrifty offers curated and mystery bundles of pre-loved clothing, vintage teacups, and unique thrifted gifts. Each item is hand-selected with care, with a focus on sustainability and individuality.

2️⃣ Orders and Curation Process

  • Once your purchase is complete, you will receive a questionnaire (for curated orders) to provide style preferences, inspirations, or specific requests.
  • Mystery Thrifty will use this information to source suitable items.
  • Orders may take up to 21 days to source, pack, and prepare for delivery or shipping.

3️⃣ Pricing and Payment

  • All prices are listed in Australian Dollars (AUD).
  • Full payment is required at checkout.
  • Payments are processed securely via PayPal.

4️⃣ Delivery

  • Free hand delivery is available within 10km of Rowville (3178 VIC).
  • All other orders are shipped via Australia Post with tracking provided.
  • At this time, shipping is available within Australia only.

5️⃣ Returns, Refunds, and Exchanges

  • Mystery Thrifty boxes are designed as surprises — part of their unique charm.
  • As such, no refunds, returns, or exchanges are offered for change of mind or if an item doesn’t meet personal taste.
  • Refunds will only be considered in the unlikely event of significant error (e.g. wrong size if specified, or damage during delivery).

6️⃣ Condition of Items

  • All items are second-hand, vintage, or pre-loved. Signs of gentle wear are normal and part of their character.
  • Mystery Thrifty ensures all items are clean and in good, wearable condition.

7️⃣ Customer Responsibilities

  • It is the customer’s responsibility to provide accurate delivery details and preferences through the questionnaire.
  • Please check your order confirmation and questionnaire carefully to avoid misunderstandings.

8️⃣ Privacy

Any personal information you provide (e.g. contact details, style preferences) is used solely to complete your order and will not be shared without your consent.
